3D Molecular Animation

Molecular processes are brought to life with accurate, well-researched molecular models presented in an engaging animation with a streamlined script for a wider audience.

Mitochondrial Biogenesis & The Progression Of Parkinson’s Disease

PINK1, Parkin, PARIS, PGC-1alpha

The animation collates research on a novel pathway in Parkinson’s disease at the Dawson’s Lab in Baltimore. The molecular interactions are presented in a linear, engaging manner, bringing this information to a wider audience.

Neutrophil Extracellular Trap (NET)

I enjoyed imagining the NET mechanism pictured in SEM photos as a dynamic motion in 3D. I created the storyboards with pen an ink to plan the scenes (see sketches below). I endeavored to add details such as the neutrophil extravasation from the blood vessel while also creating cavernous trabecular bone atmosphere for scale in the story.
